Re: Automatically report spam from rspamd

Hi Michael,

I don't like that idea. Many legitimate emails get marked up as SPAM and would also be reported.  I would rather trust a human admin to report offenders to DNSWL, and certainly not for a single instance that a machine has decided is SPAM.

Another thing to think about if you write a script, not all IPs are registered with DNSWL. No point reporting abuse from IPs not registered with them is there?

If I were going for a script option (which I'm not)  I'd prefer one that spits out an offence summary for those registered on DNSWL. Then I could note if any registered IPs was continually being flagged. At that stage I would start an investigating my end to see if future messages from them are SPAM. If confirmed as abuse, and the abuse continued I would consider reporting it to DNSWL.

My thoughts are if you send every IP from a message you binned from a score, it would cause extra work load from those who provide this fine service and in the process distract from genuine cases where an IP deserves to be de-listed.

I am only a DLSWL subscriber, and this my opinion, not that of the administrators. They and others may think your idea is a good one?

Best wishes,
Mick.

Hello,

someone asked in the rspamd discussions if it's possible to report spam automatically to DNSWL.org.

I like the idea and would like to ask here if someone already wrote such a script. I for example would like to automatically report all Spam Mails with > 30 score.

And maybe a question to the DNSWL.org admins: Is there a limit how many spam mails one API Token can/should report per day?

Kind regards
Michael
