The correct approach here were to create a single dnswl-id and add my 3 domains and the two ip-addresses of the smtp-relays to the _one_ dnswl-id. Is that correct?

Why do you want to add more domains? I also host some other domains on my mail server. That means that some.other.domain MX points to my server. Other mail sites perform a complete masquerade for hosted domain, setting, e.g.,

some.other.domain IN MX mail.some.other.domain

However, the IP address of the MX usually has just one PTR[*]. So, it is convenient to keep a single domain name for the MX of various domains. That way, not only you save IPs, but you avoid spreading IP reputation across multiple names/IPs. If you have a low footprint, that is.

The MX domain name does not appear anywhere in email messages, except for Received: lines which no human cares about.

YMMV

P.S.:
you appear in a couple of BLs, according to Valli[†]. I don't know if that or your edits troubled dnswl listing. I see your server on my dnswl cache, but not online.

Best
